New Player In The Tablet Market – Mini iPad

Last week Google announced to launch a tablet named Nexus 7, which will be the 1st device to run on Android 4.1 – Jelly Bean. Nexus 7 going to be a 7 inch tablet with the display size 1280*800. This slim portable package will be powered by quad-core processor. It will have a good battery life, which will last for the entire day. The 340 gram tablet will play HD videos too. It has already started to receive pre orders in few countries.
Also in the last month, Microsoft announced its tablet named Surface which will run on Windows 8. Surface is going to be as thin as 9.3 mm with a 10.6 inch wide HD screen. It will have Microsoft’s ClearType HD Display technology.
So now to compete with the Google’s Nexus 7, here comes some rumors from Apple. As per the report ofBloomberg, people from Apple Inc. pointed that Apple is soon going to launch an iPad mini. Mini iPad is not yet officially announced by Apple, but the unidentified people from Apple said that the mini tablet will be announced somewhere in October 2012.
The Mini iPad will have a screen between 7-8 inches but it won’t have a HD screen. It is going to be the competitor’s worst nightmare. The ball is in Apple’s court, said Shaw Wu, analyst at Sterne Agee & Leach Inc.
As per the news from Google, Nexus 7 will only be sold from its online store. Microsoft will sell its tablet online & also in its 20 retail store. But Apple has more than 360 retail stores where the consumers will be able to test the product before its purchase. This point is really going to raise the turnover of Mini iPad over its competitors likes Nexus 7 & Surface.
So now what marketing strategies will Google, Microsoft & Apple will follow to increase their market share? Who will be the market leader? Post your views in form of a comment below! :-)
