Sony budget devices helped Sony evade the huge losses in terms of money and market share and now Sony has unveiled another mid range device that completely shows the finesse of Sony design coupled with great specification.
Xperia M4 Aqua is a IP68 – certified device which makes it dust-tight and water resistant for upto 30 minutes in 1.5m deep fresh water. Apart from capless 3.5-mm headphone jack it also now features capless micro-usb slot making it the first smartphone to have it.
There’s a 5.2-inch 720p HD Display, 64-bit Snapdragon Octa Core SoC (Quad Core Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.5GHz and Quad Core clocked at 1.0GHz), 2GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage with external card slot.
The camera on rear is 13-megapixels with LED flash supporting video capture upto 1080p at 30fps. The front snapper is 5-megapixels for true to life video chatting experience. In terms of connectivity it features LTE Cat 4, 3G, 2G, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.1 and NFC. It also comes in a dual sim variant.
The device runs on Android Lollipop 5.0 out of box and features an array of Sony value added features including Albums, Camera, Walkman and many more. The device has a design language inspired from Xperia Z3 and features tempered glass in rear along with dedicated shutter key. The device is fairly slim with 7.3mm waistline and embodies a 2400mAh battery inside.Xperia M4 Aqua will be available in white, black, coral and silver color option in second quarter. It will retail at €299 in European markets and about Rs 22,000 in India markets.
