South Sydney Rabbitohs beat Brisbane Broncos 36-6 in NRL season opener at Lang Park

Dylan Walker celebrates the opening try for the Rabbitohs

The defending premiers were unstoppable against a Broncos side that look outclassed for the vast majority of the game in front of a crowd of 36,057.
Dylan Walker scored the opening try of the year and the Rabbitohs took a 10-2 lead into half-time thanks to a pair of Adam Reynolds penalty goals.
They went up a gear in the second half, running in four tries to one as the Broncos' defence wilted in stifling heat and humidity.
None of the hosts' much-vaunted off-season signings did much of anything, with Anthony Milford almost unsighted at five-eighth and forward James Gavet making a number of errors.
The former Tiger may also find himself in trouble at the judiciary after being placed on report for a shoulder charge in the final minute of the game.
